Owner & CEO of A&Y Home Care Solutions
My name is Yvette Darden, and I proudly serve as the Owner and CEO of A&Y Homecare Solutions, located in Prince George’s County, Maryland. With more than 20 years of experience in the healthcare field, I have held a wide range of roles—from nursing to management—which ultimately led me to my current position as Owner and CEO. I am deeply committed to fostering a supportive, compliant environment that enhances the quality of life for those we serve while upholding the highest standards of care and operational excellence.
I am a proud graduate of the University of the District of Columbia, and my professional journey includes valuable experience at Rock Creek Manor Nursing Home, Columbia Hospital for Women, and Georgetown Hospital. During this time, I transitioned into private duty care, where my passion for serving others truly flourished. Through years of caregiving, I have learned that helping others often feels as though I am being helped in return. I pour my heart and soul into the care and support I provide.
The true strength of A&Y Homecare Solutions lies in our unwavering dedication to placing the needs of others above our own. I am family-oriented, outgoing, and driven by a genuine desire to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those we serve.

Owner & CEO of A&Y Home Care Solutions
My journey into the healthcare industry wasn’t planned — it grew organically from a desire to be where people needed care, comfort, and understanding.
I began my career as a Certified Nursing Assistant, where I learned firsthand what it means to meet someone at their most vulnerable stage in life. I helped patients with daily tasks, listened to their stories, and witnessed the impact that kindness and dignity have on healing. Those early days taught me that healthcare is not just about procedures — it’s about caring for people and their needs.
From there, I transitioned to a Medical Assistant role, which expanded my clinical skills and deepened my connection to patient care. I learned to balance technical responsibilities with empathy: administering treatments and taking vitals while also calming anxious patients and explaining processes in ways they could understand. It was incredibly rewarding to be part of each step in someone’s caring journey.
Eventually, I transitioned into the administrative side of healthcare, where I discovered a new way to contribute. Behind the scenes, I supported the systems and processes that make quality care possible. I worked on scheduling, documentation, coordination, quality assurance, finance, billing & insurances, daily reports and communication — all essential parts of patient experience and safe, efficient care delivery.
Each role — whether at the bedside or behind the desk — has shaped my perspective. What started as a job quickly became a calling: to improve the patient’s experience, support clinical teams, and ensure that every person who walks through the doors of a healthcare facility feels respected and cared for.
While working full-time, I was in school full-time and I earned an associate's degree in healthcare administration and brought a strong understanding of healthcare systems, as well as a strong background in healthcare operations and management. and administrative leadership.
I also hold a few certifications as a Phlebotomist, CPR Instructor, Medicine Aid, Mental Health First Aid.
Today, with 26 years of experience I’m driven by a simple truth: healthcare is a human-centered profession. My work is guided by compassion, reliability, and a commitment to making healthcare better — one patient, one team member, and one process at a time.
As one of the CEOs of A & Y Homecare Services, I take pride in ensuring our patients receive care in a safe, clean, and respectful environment they can trust. I am dedicated to creating a supportive and compliant environment that improves the quality of life for those we serve, while maintaining the highest standards of care and operational excellence.
